Big four consultancy Deloitte has been accused of wasting the Federal Court’s time “yet again” by investors in collapsed construction outfit Hastie, as a long-running class action into the company’s failure is further delayed.
The latest delay to the case – which will go to trial in 2023, six years after it was first filed – came as the trustee of Sadie Ville superannuation fund, which is bringing the class action against Deloitte as Hastie’s auditors, sought to amend its case.
