Australia’s largest law firms slow partner appointments

The second-half Australian Financial Review Law Partnership Survey shows partner numbers are up only slightly, as a flat legal market begins to take hold across the sector.
Firm leaders were cautious on prospects for 2024, with ongoing geopolitical tensions and uncertainty over inflation and interest rates contributing to a likely continuation of the present “subdued legal market”.
