London | Ryan Parkin, the Perth-based CEO of Infinity Lithium, jetted out on Sunday to Spain, where he’ll be spending much of his time in the stunning medieval town of Caceres, a UN World Heritage site.

But this is no holiday: he’s on a mission to resuscitate the fortunes of his company’s proposed San Jose lithium mine. In the second half of last year, a groundswell of local opposition looked to have brought the project to a halt.
