Seven sues over software it needs for Commonwealth Games
A production firm refused to hand over software used by Channel Seven in the Tokyo and Beijing Olympics broadcast for its upcoming broadcast of the Commonwealth Games, according to a claim filed by the network in the NSW Supreme Court on Tuesday.
The urgent lawsuit aims to force Britain-based Gravity Media Group and its Australian arm to grant Seven ownership of its Inception software, which produced “customised rundowns” for the two most recent Olympic Games.
