Simon Evans

Privately owned waste company Aussie Skips and its chief executive Emmanuel Roussakis have pleaded guilty to criminal cartel offences related to price fixing in the building demolition waste industry in Sydney in 2019.

Bingo Industries, which is now owned by an arm of financial services and infrastructure giant Macquarie Group after a $2.3 billion buyout, pleaded guilty to criminal cartel charges last year over the same issue. Bingo’s former chief executive Daniel Tartak, who also pleaded guilty last year, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 9 and 10.
