Marsh McLennan Pacific boss David Bryant says the success of its merger of Westpac’s superannuation arm BT into its Mercer business was defined by what they didn’t do.

“We didn’t go into the merger with a presumption that Mercer did things better than BT or vice versa,” Bryant says.
