Why Afterpay could be coming to a supermarket checkout near you

Shoppers could soon have the option of paying for their groceries at the checkout with buy now, pay later providers such as Afterpay, says Nick Molnar, after laws took effect that impose stricter credit standards on the sector.

Molnar founded Afterpay a decade ago and its rapid growth soon attracted the attention of the big banks, who have long pushed for its interest-free loans to be brought under credit laws.
