Westpac poaches from CBA for its new head of business banking

Westpac chief executive Anthony Miller has recruited Paul Fowler from Commonwealth Bank as the new head of business banking as he reshapes his senior management team at the Sydney-based lender.

Mr Fowler, who is a former Goldman Sachs investment banker like Mr Miller, was executive general manager of regional and agribusiness banking at CBA and was touted as a potential successor to Commonwealth Bank’s head of business banking, Mike Vacy-Lyle.
