The largest lender in South-East Asia, Singapore’s DBS Bank, says it will use a new deal with Austrade to move onto ANZ Bank’s turf and connect Australian companies to growth opportunities in the region.
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission, the government’s trade agency, said a memorandum of understanding signed with DBS, announced by the bank on Wednesday night, could be used to build commercial links for Australian companies seeking to expand in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia or Vietnam.
