How BNPL’s big players could win stoush over Britain’s rulebook

A UK government paper issued last week suggests Afterpay and its rivals are making headway against political pressure for a tougher regulatory regime.

London | On the streets of London, there is mounting evidence that the gates of Australia’s gilded cage are prising open: a growing number of big-ticket Aussie CEOs are jetting into town.

These include Lendlease’s Tony Lombardo, Macquarie’s Shemara Wikramanayake, BHP’s Mike Henry and Fortescue’s Andrew Forrest. One of the first CEO escapees to London, though, was Afterpay’s Nick Molnar.
