Companies must rethink how they verify IDs: CBA executive
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia executive charged with preventing fraud says companies need to change how they collect personal data and identify people after millions of Australians had personal documents stolen in the Optus hack.
James Roberts, CBA general manager, group fraud, told the Australian Securities and Investment Commission Annual Forum that Australia needed “to reflect on how we validate identity”.
