ANZ executive Mark Hand exits, Maile Carnegie steps up

ANZ Bank’s new retail banking boss, Maile Carnegie, says restoring home lending performance is a priority as she takes the reins from Mark Hand, who will leave the bank after it lost market share in mortgages following a blowout in processing times.

ANZ will integrate its digital and retail divisions, which Ms Carnegie will now lead, and separate its commercial bank under a new leader not yet identified, after Mr Hand had responsibility for both retail and business banking.
