Fruit prices to leap, but ‘not to iceberg lettuce peak’

The floods that ravaged Australia’s east coast could affect the supply and prices of apples, stonefruit and pears by summer and cause up to $5 billion worth of damage to the grain harvest.

The Goulburn Valley is home to some of the Victorian towns worst affected by the flooding, including Shepparton, Rochester, and Echuca.
