Since November 5, the day of the presidential election, a staggering $US1.8 trillion ($2.8 trillion) has been added to the value of the US sharemarket. In the context of a bull market that’s been running for more than two years, and with valuations already historically stretched, the euphoria that has greeted Trump 2.0 is impressive.
