New York University professor and economist Nouriel Roubini has become known around the world as Dr Doom for his grim view on where the world is heading. At The Australian Financial Review Business Summit in Sydney on Tuesday morning, he did his best to live up to his name.
Having first warned that we are “on the verge of a great break in the global economy”, Roubini then declared that we should start to worry about the potential for artificial intelligence to eventually make “our own species obsolete”.
