Familiar dishes such as beef rendang, laksa and chicken curry stand alongside tangy nonya specialities full of tamarind, coconut milk, shrimp paste, spices and herbs. Sambal's portions are generous, so it's great value; choose carefully and the budget may even stretch to a third course.
