Contemporary

Just like the Fiat 500 - 'small, practical and classic' - the Bacino Bar cafes in Chowder Bay, Dee Why, Manly, Mosman and North Sydney are unmistakably Italian. Bright red awnings make it hard to miss this Kirribilli family member, where a strong, spicy piccolo latte ($3) from the Russo brothers' Little Italy Roasters is best accompanied by an aragostina, a crunchy lobster-shaped pastry filled with Nutella. The breakfast menu is small, but portions are big, or you can come back later in the day for gelato instead. Nutella freaks can even buy it by the five litre tub, to take home and do whatever it is you do with Nutella.
