On Carnegie's Koornang Road, kimchi rather than caffeine reigns supreme. So brand-spanking Platform 3 is a welcome addition for those in need of a brew. It's light and airy, the industrial fitout prinked with greenery reflecting the outside vista of railroad tracks and overgrowth. A compact menu of breakfast offerings, salads and sandwiches runs alongside the Map coffee ($3.50), which has a brioche aroma and just a hint of citrus on the palate. Service was a bit wobbly in the early days but, given time, Platform 3 should get on the right track.
