Thor Morgan murder investigators release new images of two vehicles believed to be linked to Harlaxton shooting murder

Police investigating the murder of Thor Morgan, who was killed by a gunshot wound to the head on a main Toowoomba street, have released new images to help solve the crime.

New images of two vehicles believed to be connected to the shooting murder of a Toowoomba man have been released as police investigations continue into the incident.

Thor Stephen Morgan was found in the early hours of March 15 at a Coonan Street house in Harlaxton with a gunshot wound to the head.

After being taken to Toowoomba Hospital the 25-year-old was transferred to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital where he died on Monday, May 16, due to injuries sustained from the shooting and medical complications.

Homicide Investigation Unit detectives have revealed a number of shots were fired, one of which struck Mr Morgan in the head while he was driving on Ruthven Street and attempting to evade a stolen white Ford Ranger dual cab ute.

Investigators believe the gun was fired from the ute, which had been reported stolen from a Wilsonton address on Sunday, March 13, and later found burnt out in Felton.

A week later police charged three people with the alleged theft and use of the vehicle prior to the shooting.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and has faced Toowoomba Childrens Court.

Two Newtown men, a 19-year-old and 22-year-old, were charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence, and both have faced Toowoomba Magistrates Court.

Police are appealing for any sightings of the Ford Ranger in the Felton between 2am and 5.30am on March 15 before it was found torched on Nunkulla Road. The vehicle had false number plates that read SCUM.
