HOCKEY: A rematch of last year’s COVID Cup decider headlines a huge round of Toowoomba Hockey’s A1 competition.

Red Lion and Newtown have engaged in a fierce rivalry in recent times, with both enjoying the spoils of A1 glory.

Newtown comes into the contest fresh after a round two bye followed their round one success, while Red Lion is firing after a 6-0 defeat of Rangeville last weekend.

It can again turn into a good night for Red Lion, as their women’s A1 team looks to make it back-to-back wins against Newtown.

The other fixture will see Norths try to get its first win of the season against Rangeville, after being edged out late by Past High last week.

FIXTURES

MEN: Rangeville vs Norths at 6.30pm; Red Lion vs Newtown at 8pm

WOMEN: Red Lion vs Newtown at 6.30pm; Rangeville vs Norths at 8pm

Games played at Clyde Park, Friday
