A gallant Darling Downs Panthers produced one of their best performances of the season at the weekend, but the Ruby Series Netball side still remain winless.
At home to Bond University Bull Sharks the Panthers stuck with the Gold Coast team for large periods of the game.
With the scores locked 13-13 at the first break the game was shaping up as a real thriller, Bond however had other ideas.
The Bull Sharks took two huge bites out of the Panthers chances – securing a 30-23 at halftime and a 48-34 lead at the end of the third quarter.
Panthers won the final 13-10 but it wasn’t enough with the home team losing 58-47.
Goal shooter Amy Williams lead the charge for Panthers with 26 points.
Williams was well supported by goal attack Georgia Lindsay who racked up 19 points including an amazing eight two-point Super Shots.
Jorja Gisinger (22 points) and Abby Boland (32 points) were the Bull Sharks best in attack.
