The 2024 Hart Sapphire Series Ruby Division season has tested the will power and tenacity of the Darling Downs Panthers.
Winless in seven games the Panthers will draw on the energy of their home crowd in a bid to secure their first win of the season this weekend.
The Panthers will play host to the Bond University Bull Sharks – eager to exact revenge on the Gold Coast side after a round one defeat.
Shooting at 87% Abby Boland led the way for Bull Sharks with 34 goals in her side’s 68-41 win.
Goal shooter Amy Williams was the Panthers’ top scorer with 23 goals at a perfect strike rate.
The Panthers will need to shake off any lingering negativity from last weekend after tough back-to-back losses at home.
After losing 95-41 to second placed ACU Brisbane North Cougars on Saturday, Panthers lost 84-65 to ladder leaders Carina Leagues Club Tigers.
The Panthers don’t have to look too far for inspiration though with a recent 57-56 loss to Brisbane South Wildcats pointing to what they can do when in form.
