The Queensland under-12s boys and girls netball teams have been revealed after four days of intense State Titles in Toowoomba, with South Coast’s Deanne Hamilton (girls) and Met East’s Justin Wise (boys) set to take their squads to the National Championships in September.

“There was an exceptional number of very talented young players on display,” Hamilton said.

“Over the four days we saw great netball as well as positive energy and great sportsmanship across all the regions.

“We are looking forward to our training camps and heading to Nationals in September.”

2024 marks Wise’s first year taking a regional squad to the Boys State Titles, in which he took home a silver medal.

“These boys played with heart and soul and to compete on this stage with 9 other regions and only 2 playing club netball is remarkably fantastic,” he said in a Facebook post.

“Boy do we have a great side ready to compete at nationals.

“I am so excited about this platform getting off the ground and I can’t wait to showcase the lads to the rest of the country.”

Wise is confident that with the talent selected, Queensland will work hard and defend its title from 2023.
