Withcott business owners have been left furious after hundreds of dollars worth of adult products were stolen today.

Hidden Seductions owner Maria-Renai Taylor said she was fed up after two women allegedly stole numerous toys and lingerie pieces from the small business while her partner let a puppy outside.

“They stole three packets of high-end lingerie which is imported from America and we’re the only people in Queensland who have it,” she said.

“Each packet averages at $100 each. They also stole a couple of vibrators and buttplugs.”

The women were captured on high definition CCTV.

Sadly, this was not the first time the Warrego Highway store, which came under new ownership in 2018, was targeted by theft.

“If people want to steal, they will be shamed over Facebook.

“I’m over it. I’ve got a family to look after and a business to run. It’s not easy.”

Mrs Taylor said owning a property in flood zone added further difficulty to insuring the store’s products, and could not understand why people would chose to turn to crime.

“I’m one of those people, that if you came into the shop and said you were looking improve you sex life, but you may not have the best funds, I would try to find a solution for you,” she said.

Mrs Taylor said while she understood the cost of living was difficult for a lot of people, there were avenues, including Afterpay, to access products without turning to crime.

“I’m not sure if it's the thrill of the theft or the thrill of the products,” she said.

“The crime across Toowoomba is crazy … so if we can catch these people and maybe stop other people from having to deal with them, that would be great.”

The duo were caught on CCTV fleeing the scene in a blue Mitsubishi Verada.

Police are investigating the theft.
