A new bakery has opened in Toowoomba, with a huge selection of savoury and sweet goods.
Ann Nguyen opened Ann Bakery last week at Eastville Shopping Centre on Herries St.
The business opened at the former location of Cafe 63 Bakery.
Ms Nguyen said it had been a busy week, and she was overwhelmed with all the support.
“It was very busy on the weekend, and considering we haven’t done much advertising yet I was surprised,” she said.
“But we are already getting regulars with people coming back again and again, and even bringing their friends and family.”
The bakery sells a selection of pies, sausage rolls and pastries as well as towering fridges full of sweets such as cupcakes, caramel tarts, cakes, cheesecakes, log rolls and brownies.
It also sells fresh goods including sandwiches, rolls, wraps and salads, and has an Asian menu with banh mi rolls, rice paper rolls and dimsums.
Ms Nguyen has experience as a barista so customers can grab a hot coffee, or choose from a range of cold drinks including milkshakes and even grab a tub of homemade ice cream.
Ms Nguyen said everything was made fresh in store each day.
“I wake up early to make sure everything is fresh for our customers,” she said.
“Our banh mis are our bestsellers so far, people love them. We cater for all dietary requirements as well.”
Ann Bakery is open 6am to 6pm seven days a week.
