Air support and rural firefighters spent days battling 4m high flames, which ravaged farm land in the Southern Downs.
As of Monday morning only two aircraft and a rural fire crew remained on scene at Greymare, with the fire now under control.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the remaining crews are working on maintaining fire breaks and monitoring the area.
The QFD spokeswoman said the fire’s impacts were limited to surrounding farm land in the area.
It’s understood the vegetation fire, situated less than 30km from Warwick, first ignited on October 31, covering a space equivalent to 50 MCGs.
On November 2, three days later more than 20 fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
A QFD spokesman said the fire had been burning within containment lines, and crews on the ground on Saturday were prioritising bolstering those, while also working to extinguish it using ground and air units.
He said flames were up to four metres tall in sections, and the fire covered an area of between 800 to 1000 hectares, which is about equivalent to 50 MCGs.
