Police have confirmed investigations into the cause of a fire that completely destroyed a Sunshine Coast are continuing after a crime scene was declared.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said four crews arrived at the scene of the house fire at Howard St, Nambour, at 5am, Wednesday.
The two-storey Queenslander house had been completely gutted by the fire.
He said there was also a car on fire next to the building.
The QFD spokesman said the house had “partially collapsed” and that it seemed no one was home at the time or in danger.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed one paramedic crew attended.
She said they were called about 5.30am but there were no patients and it seemed no one was home.

It is understood police are investigating whether the officially unoccupied home was actually being used and was occupied by squatters who managed to escape the fire.
On Saturday a QPS spokesman said investigations into the cause of the fire were continuing and no charges had been laid.
