Seven people have been rushed to hospital following a serious two vehicle crash on the Sunshine Coast – with one young woman in her 20s suffering potentially life threatening pelvis injuries.

Emergency services were called to the scene of a two-car crash at 8.27am Monday on Pine Camp Rd, Beerwah.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said it was a serious crash.

She said one woman in her 20s had suffered “significant”, “serious”, and “potentially life threatening” pelvis injuries but was in a stable condition and not fighting for her life. She has been rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital

A woman in her 40s suffered seatbelt and chest injuries, and another girl in her teens who had lower back injuries, have also been taken to hospital.

The QAS spokeswoman said a man in his 50s who had been walking along the side of the road also hurt his shoulder jumping out of the way of the crash and has been taken to hospital.

Another two people were also taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

Everyone was in a stable condition.

The Queensland Fire Department and Queensland Police Service are also on the scene.
