A $2.6 MILLION home, tucked quietly into a private but "exciting” Coast suburb is already taking the market by storm.
The seven-bedroom, six-bathroom "beautiful” home at 55 Rainforest Rd, Tanawha, has sparked plenty of southern interest.
It was put up for sale on Thursday, and has been shown to local buyers known to its agency.
The home is listed for $2.6m through Ken Guy Buderim dubbed as a "foresty” retreat.
The 1.85ha home is packed with features, from the tennis court, 15m pool, granny flat, cinema room and gym.
Sales consultant Jonny Edwards said the owners - who are from a medical background - improved the property "dramatically”.
"It's a beautiful home, such a big family home. And the owners added a whole lot more to it,” Mr Edwards said.
"Everything has been maintained well, but upgraded too. They've added connecting walkways from the house to the granny flat.
"The gym itself is incredible. It's more like a commercial gym.
"They just did a complete renovation on the granny flat too.”
Mr Edwards said southern buyers were drawn to the Coast market for its achievable price point and value.
He said for the current owners, having Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Grammar School in its reach was perfect.
"Tanawha is known for its lifestyle acreage, and the value and size of the properties reduce as you head into Buderim,” he said.
"All the developments going along around it help too. It's a really exciting suburb.
"The new shops in the Kunara area (and) the Glasshouse Brewery are such cool places to go on a Friday afternoon.
"For these southern buyers, the biggest part is they want a break from the busy lifestyle. Many have to commute 45 minutes one way, here you're close to anything.”
