An “unparalleled” five-bedroom, six-bathroom family home designed by a well-known Sunshine Coast architect at 47 Beckmans Road, Tewantin has been listed for sale by Link Properties Australia.

The price guide lies between $16.5m and $18m.

Founder Sam McFarland said the current owners who were “very high up” in the international hotel industry for decades bought the property in 2016 and went on to commission the current build, which was completed in 2019.

Data shows the property was bought for $2.3m in 2016 with the original home removed and the new home built.

Mr McFarland said the property was brought to life between the owners’ passion and the work by “well-known” architect Jolyon Robinson from Robinson Architects.

As an international family with experience and understanding of architecture, the vision for the home became a fusion of future living and time-old principles, Mr McFarland said.

He said the home’s series of private pavilions surrounding a water feature was inspired by ancient Chinese architecture.

The mansion also uses smart technology and is almost entirely energy independent using its solar panel system.

The current owners are sad to see their home go, but have decided to move elsewhere to be closer to their expanding family.

Mr McFarland said the family hoped the home would sell to someone who would cherish and appreciate it as much as they had.

He labelled the 629sq m home an “irreplaceable property,” with the area’s zoning no longer allowing builds larger than 500sq m.

The real estate agent said the property was the closest find to an acre block near Hastings St.

Mr McFarland said it was also a rare find in Noosa because of its sustainability, attention to detail in the design and the 3000sq m of open space surrounding the 25m pool.

The property covers 8052sq m.
