Plans to demolish three homes in Buderim and build a set of luxury townhouses have been revealed by an award-winning Sunshine Coast developer.

The developer, OneLife Property Group, submitted plans to build nine four-bedroom townhouses to the Sunshine Coast Council late last month.

The group are known for a number of luxury projects on the Sunshine Coast including a high-end duplex in Maroochydore and the recently completed ‘OneLife on Queen’ in Caloundra.

The corner-block in Buderim, which currently includes two single-dwelling homes and a duplex, is located two kilometres from the town centre.

The town planning report submitted to the council state the two-storey townhouses would be fitting with tradition “Queensland” style.

“The development has been designed with lightweight and textured external building materials, incorporating white rendered walls with timber battens,” the report stated.

“The proposed multiple dwelling provides gable roof forms on each “townhouse” allowing consistency of the traditional Queensland style.”

The report also indicates a “significant 21 per cent” of the block would be landscaped.

“The proposed landscaping includes large feature trees to the frontage of the site, shade trees to the edges of the private open space areas and large screening shrubs to side and rear boundaries,” the report states.

If approved, the development would replace the three current dwellings located on King and Hamilton Streets.

Each townhouse will also include private “open spaces” and outdoor living areas.

“The proposed living areas and private open space balconies are provided with a desirable northern orientation to maximise exposure to the winter sun and cooling summer breezes,” the report states.

The site for the proposed development at 122 & 124 King St consists of a total land area of 2,044 square metres and with a frontage width of 62.08 metres to King Street and 31.13 metres to Hamilton Street.
