Man in Sunshine Coast hospital following Little Mountain crash

A 71-year-old Sunshine Coast cyclist has been rushed to hospital as police reveal details of the Mountain Creek crash.

A Sunshine Coast cyclist has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition following a crash between a bicycle and a car.

Emergency services were called to the crash about 10.30am at the intersection of Creekwood Ave and Parklands Bvd in Little Mountain.

Multiple paramedics, including a critical care paramedic, looked over people at the crash.

A 71-year-old Meridan Plains man, the cyclist, was rushed to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an initial investigation showed the cyclist had crashed into a parked car.
