Police are still on the hunt for a $100,000 boat stolen after thieves cut through the fence of a Sunshine Coast marina last month.

The 6.8-metre aluminium plate boat, an Offshore Marine Master, was parked in the hardstand area of the Mooloolaba Marina when it was taken on July 9.

Thieves cut a hole in the fence and also pushed over a fence post with their vehicle during the break-in.

Sunshine Coast Water Police Senior Constable Murray Lyons said the boat, being towed by a Ford Ranger, was last captured on CCTV at a petrol station south of Gympie being driven north on the Bruce Hwy just before midnight on July 9.

Tradesman and dad-of-one Andrew Scotland, 40, was upset not only because his custom-built boat was gone but 15 years worth of marks, or good fishing spots, were also stolen.
