A former Sunshine Coast drug dealer allegedly ran for the hills after chucking a large amount of MDMA and ice over a fence during a bust in a bottle shop carpark.

A former Yaroomba drug dealer was found on the roof of a Buddina home after he allegedly threw a bag of drugs over a fence in a Dan Murphy’s car park.
Joshua David Grace, 31, was arrested when he allegedly ran from police on July 29, 2022 after he was found with a clip seal bag containing baggies of MDMA and meth.
Court documents say Kawana Waters police spoke to two women standing with a Nissan X-Trail at the Dan Murphy’s car park in Buddina after the vehicle was linked to another incident in Mountain Creek.
Police allege in court documents after speaking to both women they found Mr Grace hiding from them.
It’s alleged by police Grace was found with a bag of drugs tucked into his pants.
Police say he then became agitated and allegedly chucked the bag over a fence.
The 31-year-old Yaroomba man then fled the scene and was found 40 minutes later on top of a roof in Buddina, the court documents state.
Police allege several baggies were found inside the bag thrown over the fence, with 12.1g of MDMA being found.
It’s alleged in court documents by police that 3g of a crystal substance believed to be meth was also found.
Court documents say Mr Grace had been sentenced in the Brisbane Supreme Court on February 22, 2022 for serious drug supply offences.
Mr Grace’s solicitor Katie Paterson did not apply for the 31-year-old’s bail in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 29, 2022.
He was remanded into custody to appear on September 16, 2022 where he faces two charge of possessing drugs and obstructing police.
