Three-car crash in Sippy Downs on Columbia St and University Way

Five people have been looked over by paramedics after a peak-hour crash that left one car wedged under another that rolled.

Five people have been treated by paramedics following a three-car crash in a busy Sunshine Coast suburb.

Emergency crews were called about 4.15pm, July 29, to the intersection of Columbia St and University Way in Sippy Downs following reports of a three-car crash.

In the crash, one car became wedged under another that rolled.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said no one was trapped and two fire crews were called to attend.

He said firefighters were also managing a diesel spill from one of the cars.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics looked over five people who all declined to be taken to hospital.
