A busy unit block has been evacuated as emergency services respond to a fire on the Sunshine Coast.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews were on scene a unit fire at Mary St, Nambour, at 9.20am, Friday, September 20.

He said there were reports of a fire at the back of the unit block.

Everyone who lived there or was on site has been evacuated.

The fire was fully extinguished by 10am

Investigations are ongoing.
