A man is in hospital with serious head and chest injuries following a motorcycle crash in Burpengary East, with police launching an investigation into the cause.

A motorcyclist has been hospitalised with severe head and chest injuries following a crash on Uhlmann Road in Burpengary East on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the accident at 1.07pm where Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated a man who was then taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
“He was transported with significant skull... head, and chest injuries,” a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
Queensland Police Service has launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
The police Forensic Crash Unit has been called to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
