Samsung’s new flagship phone not only combines the best features of the Note with the Galaxy S series, it might also save marine life along the way.

The Galaxy S22 phones use repurposed fishing net for some of its components, a move that could see fewer turtles, whales, sharks and other marine species suffer long and painful deaths after being entangled.

Samsung’s initiative, along with reduced packaging, is part of global efforts by tech giants to reduce their impact on the planet.

But ultimately, the success of the new S22 range will come down to its better cameras, displays, performance, battery life, enhanced S Pen functionality, stronger armour aluminium build and faster charging.

The portrait mode also now allows you to take photos of your pets, while Samsung says the AI is the best it has developed yet with frame rates changing based on light conditions to ensure sharper details and less noise.
