Rescue crews have been called to help a hiker who has become stuck at a cave entrance in the Glass House Mountains.

Multiple fire crews and paramedics were called about 1.50pm on Saturday to reports of a climber needing assistance at a cave entrance on the eastern side of Mt Tibrogargan.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said multiple crews travelled to the Barrs Rd entrance to the mountain summit to extract them.

She said however crews did not need to access the mountain as another climber, not known to the hiker, was able to assist.

The good Samaritan climber helped the hiker down to rescue crews who were able to relocate the pair to the car park to speak with paramedics about 3.15pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the hiker declined any assessment or transport.

A semi-trailer rollover on the Bruce Highway on Thursday morning has caused delays for drivers with the highway reduced to one lane.

A Queensland ambulance spokeswoman said a semi-trailer had rolled travelling southbound north of Nambour at Yandina just before 7.30am on Thursday morning.

No other cars were involved.

Paramedics were called to the scene but the truck driver, a man in his 40s, appeared uninjured.

Police said traffic was still moving but the highway was down to one lane causing delays.

The truck was carrying a load of gravel at the time.

In a separate incident shortly after 8am, emergency services responded to a four-car crash on the Sunshine Mwy near the Mooloolaba Road off-ramp.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the crash didn’t appear to be affecting traffic as all vehicles were moved to the side of the road.

Two patients were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
