The director of a Sunshine Coast construction company, owing nearly $7m in debts, has flaunted a series of lavish overseas holiday snaps on social media.

Australis Construction Pty Ltd and Australis Scaffolding Pty Ltd director, Scott Peter Jury, has shared a number of photos from an overseas trip to Norway as the liquidation of one of his companies and the administration of another continues.

The post shared on Sunday, was captioned with “day one” and showed a series of festive photos in Tromso, Norway.

Mr Jury’s construction company was placed into liquidation shortly after the scaffolding company was placed into voluntary administration, with both companies being appointed Nick Combis to oversee the processes.

According to the figures advised by Mr Jury in september, Australis Construction owes the Commonwealth Bank of Australia the largest debt, totalling to $6.8m.

The documents also listed a dozen companies as secured creditors, with estimated debts totalling to about $50,000.

It was also advised the company Tropical Coast Plumbing Pty Ltd is owed $10,440 and Pepper Asset Finance Pty Ltd is owed $46,426.

Earlier this month, Mr Combis released his latest report to creditors of the scaffolding company, Australis Scaffolding, which revealed possible failures to prevent insolvent trading relating to that company’s three directors, Kevin Joseph Lee, Mr Jury and Luke Harper-Green.

“I have identified that the company may have traded whilst insolvent from 1 July 2023,” Mr Combis stated.

“I have estimated that the quantum of liabilities incurred from this time that remain outstanding at the date of my appointment is approximately $613,390.”

The latest figures in the report show the company currently owes the Australian Taxation Office $597,707 along with $841,809 to the related entity, Australis Safety Rail Pty Ltd.

Mr Jury has been contacted by this publication for comment.
