An exclusion zone was declared near Banana yesterday on the Leichhardt Highway after a road train carrying a toxic chemical rolled on Saturday.
The highway was closed in both directions, along with Baralaba-Rannes Road and Biloela-Duaringa Road.
Five crews of firefighters attended.
Initial reports from police indicated the road train rolled over near Kokotungo while carrying “concerning” chemicals on-board.
It comes after emergency crews received a call about the crash at 12.37pm Saturday.
No injuries have been reported at the scene of the crash, but it’s been confirmed unknown chemicals are on-board.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson advised the highway was cleared and reopened by 9.30pm.
