Two men injured in early-morning traffic crash near Blackwater

A man in his 40s and a man in his 20s were taken to hospital after a traffic crash at Blackwater.

Firefighters, police and paramedics rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle traffic crash near Blackwater this morning.

Neither of the men were trapped in their vehicles, but both were injured and required medical treatment.

Paramedics transported two stable male patients to Blackwater Multipurpose Health Service, one in his 40s with shoulder and chest injuries and the second in his 20s with minor injuries.

Police conducted initial traffic control at the scene, but the road was opened soon afterwards.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the crash was reported to them at 2.56am.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said one crew of firefighters attended the scene at 3.15am.

They made the area safe and left the incident in the hands of police at 3.45am.
