Three people are assisting police after two of them allegedly fled the scene of a car crash in Noosa Heads, leaving a mate behind to deal with authorities.

Police and paramedics rushed to the car rollover at Grant St near Sunshine Beach Rd about 8.50pm Sunday to find two of the occupants had fled on foot.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the dog squad was deployed to track down the men after they allegedly “did a runner” and were taken into custody a short time later.
