A man in his 50s has been saved from a crane in Pelican Waters after he suffered a medical episode while 35m in the air.

Emergency crews rushed to help the man along Spitfire Banks Dr about 7.30am on Monday November 7 after he suffered a medical episode while in a crane.

A Queensland Fire spokesman said three fire crews rushed to help the man along with paramedics and police while he was “in distress”.

The spokesman said fire crews gained access to the man in the crane and lowered him to the ground where he was assessed by paramedics.

He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
