Hundreds of Gympie residents donned their finest clothes and fanciest masks to dine and party the night away in the name of a fantastic cause at the RSL’s first masked ball. SEE THE FULL GALLERY

An air of mystery descended on the Showgrounds as more than 200 guests donned their finest outfits and flashiest masks to help the RSL raise funds for homeless veterans.

From Phantom of the Opera-inspired half-masks to full face coverings, and even an appearance from Batman there was no shortage of amazing masks to be found at the ball on Saturday night.

Gourmet canapes, live music, a two course dinner and performance by illusionist Chris Riches were among the entertainment on offer for the guests who partied the night away while maintaining varying levels of anonymity
