Two men are behind bars awaiting their court date after being charged with a number of alleged weapons and drug offences following a search of a Gladstone property.
About 4pm Monday, May 27, police raided a home at Agnes St in South Gladstone, where a number of drug utensils and quantities of gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and methylamphetamine where allegedly found.
During the search officers also found several weapons including a handgun, rifle, homemade firearm, a knife and several rounds of ammunition.
A number of allegedly stolen registration plates were also found.
A 32-year-old Barney Point man was charged with two counts of stealing and one count each of unlawful possession of a weapon, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing explosives, possessing utensils and wilful damage.
A 25-year-old South Gladstone was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and one count each of possessing explosives, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, driving unlicensed and possession of suspected stolen property.
Both men were remanded in custody and are expected to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on June 25.
