Man charged with child sex, drug crimes in Gladstone
Police allege a Gladstone man, 68, committed child sex crimes against girls known to him over a three-year-period including 12 counts of rape.

Detectives from the Gladstone Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 68-year-old man with 36 alleged sexual and drug-related offences.
Police will allege the offences were committed across a three-year period against two girls who were known to him.
Detectives executed a search warrant on May 9 where the 68-year-old man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with 12 counts of rape, eight counts of indecent treatment of children under 16, seven counts of supplying dangerous drugs to a minor, three counts of breach of bail, two counts of permitting use of place, and one count each of maintaining an unlawful relationship with a child.
The charges also included attempt to commit offence supplying dangerous drugs to a minor, possessing dangerous drugs, and contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.
He is due to appear before Gladstone Magistrates Court on June 9.
