An Aldershot man charged over a four-vehicle crash that left several people with serious injuries earlier this year has had his matter mentioned in court.
Matthew John Edgley, 42, was charged with one count of driving without due care.
The matter was mentioned before Maryborough Magistrates Court this week.
The crash happened on March 31, 2022, on the Bruce Highway at Maryborough near the Alice St roundabout.
A 4WD towing a caravan, two cars and a Woolworths delivery truck were all involved in the crash, which left three people trapped.
After the initial collision between the truck and one of the cars, the car was redirected onto the Bruce Highway where another collision allegedly occurred.
As a result of the second crash, the 4WD reportedly swerved across the concrete median strip into traffic, leading to a head-on collision with the fourth vehicle.
The truck came to a rest on its side on the edge of the highway.
Mr Edgley’s case was adjourned to July 25, 2023.
