Man charged over horror Maryborough Bruce Hwy crash
A driver has been charged with causing an accident that left multiple people trapped and seriously injured near Maryborough earlier this year.

An Aldershot man has been charged over a four-vehicle crash that left several people with serious injuries earlier this year.
The crash happened on March 31 on the Bruce Highway at Maryborough near the Alice St roundabout.
A 4WD towing a caravan, two cars and a Woolworths delivery truck were all involved in the crash, which left three people trapped.
After the initial collision between the truck and one of the cars, the car was redirected onto the Bruce Highway where another collision allegedly occurred.
As a result of the second crash, the 4WD reportedly swerved across the concrete median strip into traffic, leading to a head-on collision with the fourth vehicle.
The truck came to a rest on its side on the edge of the highway.
Firefighters worked for more than an hour to free three people from the wreckage, including a man and woman left trapped inside the 4WD.
A 42-year-old man has been charged with one count of driving without due care.
He will front Maryborough Magistrates Court on June 20, 2023.
