Electric scooter crashes at Urangan, Gladstone after Boronia Heights fire, Maverick Patterson crash

Three more people have been injured following two crashes in what’s been a horror week for e-scooter emergencies across the state.

Three people have suffered head injuries in two separate e-scooter crashes overnight.

It follows a shocking run of reported e-scooter emergencies this week with a Boronia Heights woman in her 20s badly burnt after fire in her boot south of Brisbane on Wednesday, triggering an investigation into whether a battery was to blame and Toowoomba teen Maverick Patterson continuing to fight for life in a Brisbane hospital following an e-scooter crash on Monday.

On Tuesday, a school-aged boy was also seriously injured in an e-scooter accident at Caboolture.

In the early hours of Saturday, a male in his 30s sustained a head injury after an e-scooter crash on Burrum Street about 12.32am.

He was transported stable to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Earlier, two e-scooters collided at a private property in Benaraby.

Paramedics attended at 8.54pm and two patients were transported stable to Gladstone Hospital with head injuries.

More to come.
